Viewers asked us to develop a show that addressed the fast-growing interest in tactical firearms and techniques; defensive pistols, black and sniper rifles, night vision and specialized optics. They also said they wanted it to have a format specially developed for television, where technical information would be combined with interesting storytelling and fast-paced action.
The result is Tactical Impact TV .
Well-known Special Forces veteran, firearms trainer, and pistolsmith Larry Vickers will co-host Tactical Impact. His resume includes special missions all over the world in more than 20 years of service with America's most elite special forces. An expert with every sort of small arms used on the battlefield today, his know-how about what small arms and accessories are the right choice for any situation is unmatched.
Joining him will be Aaron Roberts, another veteran of elite Army formations, as well as a former Texas State Trooper and trainer at the fabled Blackwater. He adds invaluable insights from both the tactical military and law enforcement side of tactical operations.
From clearing a house to mounting a night assault on a fortified enemy, each episode of Tactical Impact will examine a real-life tactical problem and the arms, accessories and tactics needed to prevail. Unlike traditional shooting shows that focus on gun reviews, features and interviews, Tactical Impact looks through the eyes of the guys who have really been there to tell intriguing stories about the guns that have changed our world. Each week, Tactical Impact will examine a key theme like "Clearing the Street/Clearing the Building" or "Repelling a Mass Attack" in which Vickers and Roberts will analyze the hardware and tactics that were deployed in the past and discuss how today's arms, ammunition and accessories have reshaped the battlefield.
Less lethal FN303.
They'll also take a hard look at the ways habits built up on the range can get you killed if followed on the battlefield or on the street. Ever wonder what you'd have chosen for personal armament at the OK Corral or Iwo Jima? Vickers and Roberts debate the right tool for the job.
Tactical Impact is a show unlike any other you'll find on television today, bringing the expertise of men who've been on the receiving end of gunfire and know what it takes to prevail when the bullets fly.
Tactical Impact airs Mondays at midnight, Thursdays at 11:30 a.m. and Saturdays at 10 p.m. on The Sportsman Channel . The show also runs on Fox Sports South, WILD TV and Pursuit networks.
Tactical Impact is brought to you by the great folks at FNH USA , Doublestar Corp. , TAPCO and Shotgun News .
