SIG Sauer is expanding its Elite Performance handgun ammo line for 2015, adding new offerings in 9mm, .40 S&W, .45 Auto and 10mm Auto.
The new 9mm loads include a 115-grain option as well as a 147-grain subsonic option.
Three new bullet grain weights have also been added to the .40 S&W and .45 Auto lines. These include a 180-grain offering in the .40 S&W and 230-grain and 185-grain bullet options in the .45 Auto.
The 10mm Auto is an all new offering from SIG, and two options will be available initially: a 180-grain Jacketed Hollow Point (JHP) load and a 180-grain Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) target load. The 10mm V-Crown JHP features a toothed cannelure halfway up the shank of the bullet, which more effectively locks the jacket and core and results in improved structural integrity in a jacketed bullet while ensuring maximum weight retention and energy on impact.
With the exception of the 180-grain 10mm Auto FMJ load, all of the new ammo offerings utilize SIG's V-Crown JHP. Each cartridge incorporates a proprietary stacked hollow point bullet for uniform expansion and improved terminal performance and utilizes DUCTA-BRIGHT 7A coated brass cases for enhanced lubricity and corrosion resistance, as well as more reliable feeding and extraction.
All previous offerings in each respective caliber will still remain available. These include a 124-grain load in 9mm, a 165-grain load in .40 S&W and a 200-grain load in .45 Auto.
Elite Performance ammo is manufactured in the U.S. and is also available in .380 Auto, .38 Special, .357 SIG, .357 Magnum, .38 Super, .44 Auto Spl., .44 Remington Magnum and .45 Colt.
