Kahr’s pioneering single-stack double-action-only K9 9mm pistol is a quarter-century old, and to commemorate the milestone the company is producing a limited-edition 25th anniversary K9. The gun, which will be limited to a run of 500 pistols, is now shipping.
Made entirely in the U.S., the slide and frame are stainless steel—finished in Sniper Grey Cerakote—and the slide is treated to a “25 Years” engraving. The Cerakote finish is set off by a brightly polished trigger and barrel.
The slide is also ported, and it sports TruGlo tritium sights. The rear sight is cut so it can be used to rack the pistol. The grips are Hogue aluminum, and they’re aggressively stippled and feature Kahr’s new logo.
The K9 has a 3.5-inch barrel and an overall length of six inches. Height is 4.5 inches and slide width is a mere 0.9 inch. It weighs only 23 ounces, and it’s easy to see why it’s been a popular carry gun for such a long time.

The anniversary guns are individually numbered 1 to 500, and each comes with a certificate of authenticity. It ships with a plastic case, three single-stack magazines and a custom 1791 holster. Suggested retail price is $1,649.
