I recently started shooting an S&W M&P9 Competitor in local matches and needed a new rig. I found the solution in C&G Holsters competition starter kit ($110, CandGholsters.com ), which includes a Kydex holster and dual magazine carrier. The holster will accommodate common red dots and has a tall channel for co-witness-height sights. Its open bottom works with threaded barrels and compensators. The retention is screw-adjustable, and the holster gives you a tactile and audible click when the gun is securely in place. The fit is terrific, thanks to C&G’s proprietary molds and CNC milling. The Tek-Lok option accommodates belts up to 2.25 inches wide and is MOLLE compatible. The standard belt attachment handles belts up to two inches. I love the double flat mag carrier that comes with the kit. It’s also CNC-designed, and metal hardware is salt-bath nitrided for corrosion resistance. It has standard 1.75-inch belt loops. I went with the QuickShip Ready version of the competition starter kit, which comes in black, but if you’re not in a hurry like I was you can opt for custom colors and features.
