Each year we see firearm manufacturers doing more with less. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the market for concealed carry guns, where we desire the best possible firearm that takes up the least amount of space.
This year is no different, and we’ve seen a host of new carry guns introduced in 2015 offering shooters a lot of bang without taking up much real estate. In some cases existing models have been reduced in size, and in others entirely new handguns have been developed.

<h2>Springfield Armory XD Mod. 2 .45 ACP</h2>After introducing the <a href= "http://www.gunsandammo.com/first-look/springfield-armory-xd-mod-2-sub-compact-pistol/" target= "_blank">XD Mod. 2 Sub-Compact</a> in 9mm and .40 S&W for the concealed carry market, <a href= "http://www.springfield-armory.com/" target= "_blank">Springfield</a> has now introduced an <a href= "http://www.gunsandammo.com/first-look/springfield-armory-xd-mod-2-sub-compact-now-45-acp/" target= "_blank">XD Mod. 2 Sub-Compact in .45 ACP</a> for 2015. Although it shares many of the same features as Springfield's previous XD Mod. 2 pistols, the XD Mod. 2 in .45 ACP utilizes a captive recoil spring with a full-length guide rod instead of the dual spring used on previous models to accommodate the bigger cartridge. The .45 ACP XD Mod. 2 also sports a slightly longer 3.3-inch hammer forged barrel, resulting in a 6.5-inch overall length. In addition, the grip width is a touch wider at 1.20 inches. Height remains the same, and all of the other features present on the XD Mod. 2 in 9mm and .40 S&W can be found on the new sub-compact .45 ACP. <br> <strong>Price:</strong> $593 (all-black); $629 (bi-tone)

- <h2>SIG Sauer P320 Sub-Compact</h2>Utilizing the same modular fire control group as other <a href= "http://www.sigevolution.com/p320" target= "_blank">P320</a> pistols, the new <a href= "http://www.handgunsmag.com/first-look/sig-sauer-p320-subcompact/" target= "_blank">P320 Sub-Compact</a> shaves off some extra weight weight and space for an easier-to-carry handgun. The new sub-compact P320 measures 6.67 inches in length, 1.06 inches in width and 4.67 inches in height and has an overall weight of 24.9 ounces with a magazine. As with other P320 pistols, this new sub-compact variant features the same one-piece stainless steel frame and has the ability to accept different grip size modules by converting the fire control. The P320 Sub-Compact has 12-round standard magazine but also accepts 15- and 17-round magazines. Everything else about the pistol including its striker-fired trigger with a pull weight of 5.5-6.5 pounds and its <a href= "http://www.sigsauer.com/Default.aspx" target= "_blank">SIG</a>'s SIGLITE night sights are identical to previous P320 models. <br> <strong>Price:</strong> $713
- <h2>Kimber Stainless Micro Raptor .380 ACP</h2>One segment of <a href="http://www.gunsandammo.com/first-look/new-guns-kimber-2015/" target="_blank">Kimber's 2015 product introductions</a> was their eye-catching <a href= "http://www.handgunsmag.com/first-look/kimber-stainless-micro-raptor-380-pistol/" target= "_blank">Stainless Micro Raptor</a>. This finely crafted pistol sports Custom Shop markings and scale serrations on its slide and frame as well as Zebra wood grips, resulting in a unique overall appearance. The pistol also comes equipped with Tritium 3-dot night sights for performance in a variety of light conditions. The Stainless Micro Raptor is 5.6 inches in length, 1.08 inches in width, 4 inches in height and has an overall weight of 13.4 ounces. <br> <strong>Price:</strong> $960
- <h2>Dan Wesson Valkyrie</h2><a href= "http://cz-usa.com/" target= "_blank">CZ-USA</a> had a <a href="http://www.gunsandammo.com/first-look/first-look-new-cz-usa-firearms-2015/#!/" target="_blank">ton of new offerings</a> for 2015, but the Dan Wesson Valkyrie is one of few built mainly for the concealed carry crowd. The new Valkyrie pairs Dan Wesson's <a href= "http://cz-usa.com/product/dw-eco-45-acp-black-officer-size-alloy-frame-tactical-2-dot-tritium-sights-7-rd-mags/" target= "_blank">Elite Carry Officer's (ECO)</a> checkered frame with a commander-length slide, resulting in an overall length of 8 inches and a height and width of 5 and 1.45 inches, respectively. It has the same sights and controls as the ECO, but uses the barrel and bushing of the <a href= "http://cz-usa.com/product/dw-cco-45-acp-black-officer-alloy-frame-commander-slide-3-dot-tritium-sights-7-rd-mags/" target= "_blank">CCO</a>. The Valkyrie features slim <a href= "https://vzgrips.com/" target= "_blank">V10 grips</a> and has a recessed slide stop hole paired with ball cuts on the slide’s dust cover and carry cuts up front. <br> <strong>Price:</strong> $2,012
- <h2>FNH-USA FNS-9 & 40 Compact</h2>Now available in a more concealable size, the FNS series of handguns has a new compact version in 9mm and .40 S&W. Outfitted with a 3.6" cold hammer-forged barrel, these pistols have familiar characteristics to their full-size counterparts, including magazine compatibility.
- <h2>S&W M&P Shield w/Crimson Trace Green Laser</h2><a href= "http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Category4_750001_750051_780153_-1_757781_757781_image" target= "_blank">Smith & Wesson's M&P Shield</a> has become a very popular pistol for concealed carry, and for 2015 it's received a <a href="http://www.handgunsmag.com/first-look/smith-wesson-mp-shield-crimson-trace-laser/" target="_blank">Crimson Trace Green Laser upgrade</a>. The M&P Shield is now offered with a factory-installed Crimson Trace Laserguard laser sight, featuring Crimson Trace's patented Instinctive Activation, where the laser is activated whenever the pistol is held in a natural firing grip. - <h2>Ruger SR1911 Lightweight (LW)</h2>Sporting a black anodized aluminum frame with a stainless steel slide, the <a href= "http://www.gunsandammo.com/first-look/first-look-ruger-sr1911-lightweight-commander/" target= "_blank">SR1911 Lightweight Commander</a> weighs about 7 ounces less than <a href= "http://ruger.com/index.html" target= "_blank">Ruger</a>’s standard <a href= "http://ruger.com/products/sr1911/models.html" target= "_blank">SR1911</a> commander-style pistol, making it a great option for concealed carry. A problem encountered with many aluminum-framed 1911s is excessive wear on the feed ramp, but Ruger has countered this with a durable polished titanium feed ramp that protects against wear and ensures reliable feeding. The new SR1911 LW Commander also features <a href= "http://www.novaksights.com/" target= "_blank">Novak</a> LoMount Carry 3-dot sights, a standard beaver-tail grip safety, an oversized magazine release, an extended thumb safety and a skeletonized hammer and trigger for further reducing weight. - <h2>Glock G43 Single Stack 9mm</h2>Shooters have been asking <a href= "http://us.glock.com/" target= "_blank">Glock</a> for a single stack 9mm for quite some time, and in 2015 the company finally delivered with its <a href= "http://www.shootingtimes.com/first-look/glock-43-single-stack-9mm/" target= "_blank">G43</a>. With dimensions only slightly larger than the <a href= "http://www.handgunsmag.com/uncategorized/first-look-glock-42/" target= "_blank">Glock 42</a>, the new <a href= "http://singlestack9.com/" target= "_blank">G43</a> features a six-round flush-fit, single stack magazine for a slim, concealable profile.
