It's no secret that the polymer-framed, striker-fired market is a competitive one, but when two companies with a stellar track record of bringing quality products to the masses team up in a concerted effort to build a pistol that offers options that can be tailored to the shooter, we all win.
Ruger has announced the RXM, a self-defense-oriented and EDC-worthy 9mm in collaboration with Magpul , resulting in endless customization and a high baseline of features at a respectable price point.
According to Chris Killoy, President and CEO of Ruger Firearms, "The RXM is the result of a tremendous collaboration between two of the most respected brands in the industry. Loaded with upgraded features, superior ergonomics, and at a price that leaves room for further customization, this American-made handgun is destined to become the best in its class.”
The RXM features a removable stainless steel Fire Control Insert (FCI) set inside an interchangeable MAGPUL Enhanced Handgun Grip (EHG) for maximum flexibility and customization. Another thoughtful and intentional parallel is that the RXM has many components that are also designed to operate in Gen 3-type handguns, making them compatible with a bevvy of aftermarket holster options and accessories.
