Gun-Totin’ Georgia Grandmother Shoots Robbers

by Dylan Polk   |  April 25th, 2012 17

This is one granny you don’t want to mess around with. According to WXIA-TV, Lulu Campbell, a resident Warner Robins, Ga., fired at two men trying to rob her daughter’s house in Macon, Ga., wounding one and sending both headed for the hills.

While dropping off her grandson at her daughter’s house, Campbell said a man began yelling at her demanding money.

“I said, ‘I got no money.’ Then he said, ‘You don’t open the door, I’ll shoot you.’ I answered him and said ‘You’re gonna kill me anyway no matter what,’” Campbell said. At that point, she said, he fired a shot through the driver side window, missing her as she began to back the car out of the driveway when she saw a second man standing in front of her car, also wielding a gun.

“I said ‘Oh God, I’m gonna die,’ but they [had] bad news for them,” she said. “I always carry a gun, 24 hours, 7 days a week.”

Check out the video of this courageous grandmother from WXIA-TV.

    You Go, Granny!!!

"I figured I was going to die anyway, but I was going to take one of them with me." She was scared, but not so scared she couldn't defend herself. The video does not say whether she killed either of the perps, but she hit one and scared the other to death at least.

And people wonder why I support must-issue concealed carry for honest citizens? "When seconds count, the cops are only minutes away." They are not legally obligated to defend us. It is up to each citizen to be prepared to defend his- or herself. Bravo, Mrs. Campbell!

"But, they have a bad news for them – I always carry a gun" (3:28)- BAD A**, Granny with a gun!

"I figured I was going to die anyway, but I was going to take one of them with me." Good for her!

She even upholds historical tradition. Back in the early days of World War II, when it looked like a German invasion of Britain was imminent, the was supposedly a homefront propaganda campaign exhorting people to, "Take one with you!"

THAT'S THE WAY IT IS. PROTECTION WITH NO QUESTIONS ABOUT THE OBVIOUS. THE TWO GUYS ARE GUILTY BY WAY OF BEING CRIMINALS.

First off, I would never want to be in that position where I have to shoot at someone in order to save my life.
If I was, however, I'd only hope to handle it as well as Lulu "Granny" did.
What a great country that we live in that Lulu had the oppertunity to defend herself rather than become a numbered victim. Hopefully, the 2 wanna-be robbers get caught and that Granny goes on to live a long and more peaceful life.

The good thing is not only did she carry a gun she knew how to use it !!!!
