Bought one used made in 1986 with the Black checkered plastic grips and absoutly love to shoot this pistol. I own several of the new plastic frame pistols but find myself picking up the Hi Power for my trips to the range. A beautiful handgun and a piece of History, it quickly worked its way into my favorite.

My last post I shouldn't argue with fools. True stripes are showing through just put on your pointed little white hats and masks so we know where you're from. You shouldn't be associated with firearms!

Pete, you are a fool. BHO has a long record of anti-2nd Am. statements and actions, and all of his appointments to cabinet posts and SCOTUS have been extremist gun-haters. He attempted to stop the sale of fired military brass to civilian reloaders, and caosed the destruction of thousands of Garand and M1 carbines by refusing to allow importation. If given a second term, firearms prohibition will be high on his agenda. Don't doubt it!

Mike, we're talking apples to apples (I should have mentioned my test was from a sandbag rest, same as the author of the article).

When shot at 50' from sandbags (I didn't try 25 yards), the Marvel groups at 1/4-3/8". I'm speculating, therefore, at 25 yards the group should be around 1/2-5/8".

Well, it will be interesting. I've just purchased a Hamden, CT Victor 5 1/2" barrel (made late 70s or so).
I'll be doing a sandbag test and am hoping I can get the group sizes I've mentioned concerning the Marvel.

Will try to remember to come back to this blog and enter the results.

Many 10-Xs to all!
