Flashbang Holster for Women

Looper Brand announces a new development in concealed carry options for women. The Flashbang Holster is a thermo-plastic molded clamshell designed to snap in place over the barrel/slide and triggerguard of many small .380 pistols and J-frame revolvers. The holster then tucks up underneath the lady’s bra band, where it is secured in place by both the band itself and a soft suede strap that snaps around the center portion of the bra between the bra cups. The open-bottom design of the holster allows the gun to be drawn simply by pulling straight down on the grip of the gun while the suede strap retains the holster. The Flashbang Holster comes with three straps of different lengths to accommodate the majority of bras. Each strap has a snap that allows the user to quickly put the holster on and take it off, but prevents the holster from being forcibly removed or knocked loose. The only portion of the gun that is visible is the grip. MSRP: $40. 405/677-1655, www.flashbangholster.com.

dont think its a good holster. with all the adrenaline facing an assailant she could possibly pull that trigger before pulling out, worse is when the end of that muzzle is the bottom of her breast.

    • Jerry

If you watch the video again you'll see that wouldn't happen because she is cocking the pistol on it's forward movement.

  • Tonia

Umm, no. Too many things can go wrong with this.

  • Jim

Without much training, I can imagine a gunowner shooting her hooter off or worst lung shot.

  • Bob

seems to have the barrel below the breast (depending on sizes), and not covering the rest of the body during a draw. Seems like a okay option for some.

  • Valid

    No different than thunderwear.

Anyone who puts their finger on the trigger before even pulling their gun out of its holster shouldn't carry a fire arm. I think it's a great product and would be a convenient way to carry my pistol.

The trigger is covered when the pistol is in the holster, as it should be. There is no way "she could possibly pull that trigger before pulling out." At worst, the shooter could draw the pistol, and pull the trigger while still not properly presented and aimed at the target, but that seems unlikely… at least as unlikely as more conventional holster options. This might be a good holster option for women. It seems much better than many concealed carry holsters. It'd be awkward with a long dress, though!

This looks like an interesting option for deep concealment if the woman has the appropriate body shape and is well trained and coordinated. The female demonstrator is young, in decent condition and is large enough to conceal the small 380. I can imagine this type of carry would be reasonable for some police officers. I would not recommend this to the average woman who may also be carrying a purse or items to complicate the movements. Also, I thing having the seatbelt in a vehicle resting on a handgun may not be a good idea. Though I doubt it would cause any accidental discharge, it would need to be evaluated to determine what impact it would have on the seatbelt and airbag function.

This kind of reminds me of the Thunderwear holster. It has deep concealment but can be awkward.

That all said, I think efforts to help enable women to protect themselves is admirable. There are many attacks against women of all ages and those who seek to protect themselves and their loved ones need options.

Seems like a well developed item! Only experienced should apply!

I love my holster. I do not have large breast but the gun cannot be seen even with a tight fitting shirt. This is the best holster I have ever had.

I too love my Flash Bang. An option for woman who don't like wearing waistline. With some practice it's easier to use than it looks and the clamshell protects the trigger mechanism. Nice to have a female option. I'm very impressed with this holster.
